Poster and Research Corner Presentations
What are the professional requirements for authors who submit abstracts?
At least one author should be a Registered Nurse (RN) and must complete a Conflict of Interest (COI) form. For Poster abstract submissions, one RN author must be present at each poster session. For Research Corner submissions, presenters must be RNs. All poster and Research Corner presenters MUST register for NROTG.

Important to note: Prior to printing, please ensure your poster is reviewed to verify all protected health information (PHI) has been removed and that any proprietary information or photos have been approved and permission granted.

All submitted abstracts will be accepted for Poster presentation. Deadline for Abstract submissions is March 31, 2025 @ 11:59 pm.

What is the due date for uploading posters on the website?
The due date and time for uploading final posters is Monday April 9, 2025 by 11:59 pm. Posters can be uploaded by going to the Poster Submission page using the button on the Submitting a Project page. Posters must be in PDF format.

What poster size is required for printing? What time should I bring my poster for set-up on the day of the conference?
The dimensions of your poster should be 36” height by 48” width to fit the poster display stands that are provided to presenters. Please bring your own push pins. Poster set-up time is from 6:45 - 7:45 a.m. on the day of the conference. Your assigned poster number will be given to you at the registration table. Poster take-down time is 3:00 p.m. Please reach out if you require any special accommodations for set-up or take-down.

Does the presenting author have to be a co-author on the poster abstract?
Yes. Only one author (RN) listed on the abstract is required to present at a poster session. If your poster has several RN authors, a poster presenting time may be assigned among your RN authors.

​​What is Research Corner and how do I request that my abstract be considered for presentation?
Research Corner is a podium presentation and is preferentially reserved for showcasing completed projects of post-licensure students and registered nurses.
Note: In the NROTG Abstract Submission Form, you must indicate you want your submission to be considered for Research Corner by checking the box located just below the abstract submission text box.
Abstracts submitted for Research Corner presentation are competitive. If you requested to present in the Research Corner, your abstract will be vetted according to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Abstract Scoring Rubric. Refer to this rubric for further information.

Your abstract’s submitting author will be notified by email shortly after the abstract submission deadline of March 31, 2025. Only the submitting author is notified. Submitting authors are responsible for notifying all their co-authors. Only the preferred email address or phone number provided with your submission is used for notification. If your abstract is accepted for Research Corner presentation, specific information will be included in that email notice. If your abstract is not accepted for Research Corner, your submitting author will receive an email with feedback.

I submitted an abstract for Poster presentation but did not receive a reply. How do I know if my abstract was accepted?
All abstracts submitted for Poster presentations are accepted and only the submitting author will receive an automated email notification after your abstract was submitted. If you did not receive an “abstract submitted” notification, please check your junk/spam mailbox or contact nrotg.contact@gmail.com.

If my abstract was accepted for Research Corner, when and where should I submit my Research Corner presentation slides?
Submit your final presentation slides to the Presentation Submission page by April 13 @ 11:59 pm. You should also have received an email that included a URL for the submission page at the time of acceptance.

Where should I park my vehicle?
In addition to street parking, limited parking is available in the Fine Arts Center parking lot, as well as in Mayo Clinic Health System Parking Lot #3 at the corner of 10th and Jackson streets.

What dress code is appropriate?
Required dress code is business casual, scrubs, or professional dress.
